  • "88 & "90 Mazda 121 from France.

I am here to introduce my two Mazda 121 bought last weekend.

The first is a 1.3 LX Top Canvas 1988.

Interior and engine are in good condition, the body needs a new paint.

    My project:

    New paint
    Front bumper Festiva
    Coilover Golf MK1
    Wheels in 13 inch
    and surely other ideas

The second is a 1.1L 1990 that I bought for a parts stock.

I would put more photos later.

In addition to these 121, I have two BMW E30, a VW Golf MK1 and Mazda MX5 NA.

    :hello2:

Awesome! I like how you have the silver one parked.

I would like to stand in the back of your funtop with a set of goggles while you drive fast down the highway.

You will want Mk2/3 VW coilovers for the front. I'm not sure how the Mk1 ones will work in front but they are good for the back. All need slight modification to fit. You will also want softer springs than what come in the kits.

                Thank you for your comments.

I compared the coilovers front of my Golf MK1, the top mounts have a different spacing 12.5 cm on the 121 and 14.5 cm on the Golf.

This weekend I compare with coilovers from a Golf MK2 to a friend.

For fun I put a BBS RS on 121.

It was hard to find wheels 4x114.3 but it's good I found PLS 400D in 13 ". :hello1:

And some fun with the grey 121.

                    Nice wheels!
The Mk2 VW front coilovers fit the 121 knuckles with some grinding of the holes. Many people have used them. The rear MK1 shocks work on the festiva if you narrow the lower mounting bushing about 3mm.
Very nice MK1 Golf by the way! I've got an 81 Scirocco S as well.
