I also recorded some dimensions for anyone that attempts this. This will give you good starting points.

Some brackets were just fab'd to fit (no dimensions) but the feet without dims are the front console side feet. I did them last and just made to fit. If you get that far you should have no problem doing same

I started by picking something I could work with, for measuring and squareness. I picked the sliding rails inside the track rails. I positioned them so they were even with the backside of the track. Actually the locking mechcanism would only allow for the slding rail to, be 1/16 in, or 1/8 out.
I chose the 1/8 out and used a carpenters square against both rails, and a ruler to measure distances. This is working from the rear of seat rails.

Here are some dims (if they can be read) All taken from the passenger seat (drivers side is mirror image) except for one foot on the driverside in my festy (also shown) is different slightly

The 1.5 dim in first pic is from the hole to the backside of the foot shown

Looks like I forgot to upload a couple pics ...be right back ......

    .... (whistles while waiting) ....

    Okay, here

the drivers side rear console side foot

a pic of the "risers" and the 3/16 thick extensions I used to shim up/down the seats.
I put grade 8 bolts through the hole in the extensions and put the risers over the bolts, bolted them to the seat through the holes in the montana sliding rails
There are holes at each end of the montana rails that can be used for this. I then lined up every thing by putting them in the car for fitment, using small C-clamps, to hold the feet to the extensions, then tightened all the bolts, and then welded everyting in place, including the extensions, the risers, the bolts and the nuts

I had to get creative to adjust for the 1 3/4 height diff on the festy seats. I had to raise one side 7/8 inch and LOWER the opp side to make it work. Cant add 1 3/4 to one side, the seats sit to high. The skinnier montana rails made that possible by allowing the one rear foot on each seat, that goes to the console side, to be flipped upside down, and welded to an extension bracket.
This allowed the rail to sit BELOW the festy mounting point! The rail if looked at, sits level with the mounting point on the festy, and the extended bracket actually comes up along side the seat about an inch.

      Hope this helps!!!

BTW, the seats ARE very comfortable, at least to me! A little more lumbar support than a festy seat.

      .................................................. ......................................... Enjoy!!!!!

I forgot to mention the feet that got flipped upside down are the LONG ones that go on rear of seat on console side.

Because the foot was flipped, the bolt in the floor of the festy didnt reach through the hole to bolt it down. I took it to work and used a short piece of 7/8 round steel stock, on a hydraulic press, to push the bolt area of the foot down, until it was level with the bottom of the foot again. You can see the round pushed down area in the above pics of the long feet.

The extensions are 3/16 thick, and the risers are 9/16 tall for a lift of 3/4 inch. I wanted 7/8 but any longer bolts I dont think I could get them under the montana sliding rails. I had to lay the bolts down in the track, slide the track over the bolts, and use a magnet to stand them up and pull them up trough the rail holes. Barely enough room to do that with the longest bolts I could get in there. About an inch long thread on the bolts.

Way to go man! Certainly not a 5 minute fix for an ordinary stiff but you carefully thought it through and did a really nice job.

Dimensions not needed. We will all drive down to your place to get our seats installed. We know you can do it real fast now. We will fall asleep in the seats in your car while we wait for you to finish. What was your address again?

Thanks everyone! I think the write up was harder than the swap! A lot of pics to edit and move to forum. lol
I dont know what the heck happened to the "paint" program on my computer! Couldnt find it. Had to use the edit function on the pics themselves. Not as good as the paint program, where one can add text and stuff.

Just copy it from another computer to yours. It's located in "C:\windows\system32\mspaint.exe". Are you sure it's not on yours?
Just cut and paste this path into the run window, to double check.

                          Good luck.

Great job on the seats Dan...You should plan to convoy with Tom and show them off at Madness.

I use Google Chrome and Picasa3. They work well together. Lots of features and you can share and post links here.
Takes a little time to learn some of the features but one you do, it's really easy.
