Festiva Festival '03

     What a blast! We drove all the way from Houston, TX to Clarkston, MI about 1500 miles each way via interstates. We took Techno loaded down with camping gear and armed with FF.Com window decals for all that showed. (none left btw, need to order more)
     We left Thursday around 11 am arriving about 7 pm Friday. I met quite a few of the regular racers at Waterford. All jokesters in a family atmosphere. When I say we, I meant Travis (my son) and myself.  We set up camp and met our host Tim Deronne later on that night. The campfire was blazing with drivers all around.
     Saturday morning Fred showed up and Wil and Dominic soon followed. A couple of other Festivas and James in his Aspire showed up a little later. We were allowed to run 4 touring laps. We played a little on the track, getting on it in the corners, hard tire warm-ups and I actually passed someone etc, but no one really said much about it. (Hope we didn't cause problems for Tim)

     Next Randy showed up By mid afternoon Roger (Festiva Motorsport) and Donald got there. We lined up the cars and took lots of pictures. Most of us stayed the night hoping for a chance to get on the track again on Sunday, but rain delays made it impossible. It was a very nice time and we met allot of nice people.
