sweet deal... i've read of people pooling resources and finding a hood from a larger car and using it as a platform, stack EVERYTHING and both of you carry it across on the hood...

depending on the "rules" you could get creative and bolt the rear suspension to the hood and just drag it across like a trailer perhaps? lol...

always wish I had a junkyard around that did those types of specials and such :-0

wow this thread took off! I've been at work pretty much since I wrote my starting post.

      from the top, lol...

freshtiva, yeah I got one of the brake cables. the other they cut bcuz they removed the gas tank. the 97 gas tank is still there (I may go back and get it...but will have to see). it stinks cuz on average if they'd take 2 to 5 minutes extra they'd make a lot more money. brake cables and downtubes...it's TWO nuts. but they sawzah the friggin pipe. I could use a downtube. I DID get the exhaust header tho with shield from the 97...but I managed to snap one of the swelled up bolts too but oh well

25horseplay, yeah I should have taken a pic while I was carrying everything but I had my hands full lol. and I'd put Paul in the same category as a human forklift. crazy

thanks nate for the pic. that was the easy walk. the second time around...OMG I was in agonizing pain and biceps still hurt a bit from that. I laugh at Nate's comment when I got done with the second one, "you wanna do it again?"

getnpsi, not necessarily a gimmick. but they make good money if you pay 65 bucks to carry and you only find a cup holder. lol.

speedoholic, I'd might be willing to sell one, not sure yet. all-in-all I have two complete aspire fronts, another set of complete struts and knuckles and brakes, and then only two complete rears. and out of all of that only one rear is in use as for now. but I also have 3 festy's for now...so who knows. I know there is a cunningham brothers PNS in greensboro.

and yeah, I used a tied up seatbelt for the rims. and a lot of people were taking car hoods and turning them upside down and loading them up. we watched a guy...idk how the heck he made it 10 yards. he kept stopping like a leaning tower of piza trying to control his balance. he started off in the middle and got one step forward and about 6 steps left. lol! it was hilarious. the best part, it took four guys to lift the junk onto the guys back.

I don't think they'll do another one for quite a while max...but I saw it like 2 weeks ago when I went back for a stupid suzuki bulb that only suzuki or radioshack makes. weird. but the car was gone. and I saw their sign that day so I started hitting the yard for 2-4 hours pretty much every other day or so. I eventually just went ahead and got the one month membership cuz...it was adding up. I do score a lot of pocket change though. hehe and I found the wheels on friday and hid them in a locked up nasty escort gl! haha.

fastivaca, not sure...I was just going by that site. I'll Mic them and see what I get. I know for sure they don't fit an aspire! stinks...I couldn't even get one lug to go on the front knuckle...

well, that's one LONG stinkin post. thanks guys!

I know we have links here on the topic, just figure I'll post one to show:

inevitably, I'll have to sell these...but I think they'll bring a decent price. I'm going to spec them first to make sure they're 110mm...

Do you have to do the aspire swap to get those rx-7 wheels to fit or will they fit a stock festy setup? I have access to a mint set.

okay everyone...I DONE DID IT AGAIN!! lol

yesterday was another carry all you can for 65 bucks and I took total advantage of it. I couldn't carry much more than I did...

I got a B6 from an 88 auto 323 but it is seized but I'm gonna put some oil through the spark plug holes to try and let it all free up (I hope!!). Nate and I stripped off as much stuff as possible and then I grabbed a seat belt and looped a bunch of stuff on that too and put it on my shoulder and behind me.

                      here's a pic of it!
