I don't know of a swap for the Festiva (bolt in) that wouldn't require you to change the headlight plugs.

I know that the Mazda 121 set I had on my last car and the Kia Pride set I have on my current car BOTH required me to swap headlight plugs to a 9003/H4 harness. I got a set of headlights plugs from a Jeep in the junkyard and made sure to cut enough extra wire so I could splice them together.

I used my volt meter to see what wires did what on the Festiva, did the same on my Jeep (which runs 9003/H4 bulbs), and then spliced the Festiva wires into the new plugs. Start to finish took about 20 minutes.

If you aren't too good with a multimeter or don't know much about electricity then I highly suggest that you enlist the help of a friend that knows a few things about wiring. Having said that, if you are willing to put some time into research and can afford ten bucks for a multimeter then go for it!

Make sure your friend ISN'T colorblind when you enlist him...

Funny story is that 2 of my friends were wiring some stuff in their cars... The owner of the car knew a bit about wiring, but wanted some relay help and the other friend knew about all that stuff. The only problem was the knowledgable one was slightly colorblind between browns and blacks and they mixed 2 wires up and had a nice smoke/spark show.

this was the PM where Sleeper explained it to me:

I paid big buck to get a set of head light lenses from cwstuning.com no longer avalible from what I understand and a $200 set of highend halo off road lights......

I had to make custom brakets to fit the covers.....took a week!

Then I had to cut a drill and hack to make the lights fit properly .... the wiring was easy.....and I've never done any wiring.

If you do a search on the site for halo headlight conversion you will find my post on this with all of the pictures of the process.....

I no longer run it because the lights where off road lights and where way to bright.....light running on high beams all the time......

If I where you I would find headlight covers for a early 90's jetta cut them to fit the festy and find a light that will fit and not blind anyone in front of you....... or you can simply go with VW rabbit lights round , but no halo

Like I said before I will look into this agian.....but not for a while.....if I do I'll make a kit that is cheap and easy to install and will work right.....

I must admit however it did look awsome in my car......I even had people screaming and pointing at the car as I drove

Hope this helps.....like I said check for the thread... it may help you out.....

I looked in his personal album and hes taken the pictures out.
