Got a nice sound system started in the car now. I already had an Alpine headunit, but I was running one crappy speaker in the back and that was it.

I upgraded to the Alpine CDE-133BT and got 4 JL Audio C2-400x 4in speakers to go in the stock locations.

The fronts are the only ones I have installed right now and I had to install them from the back side of the hole and put the little screw in pieces on the 4 corners of the speaker.

You can see here I couldn't fit the stock speaker grill on cause the speaker was sticking out too far.

After moving the speaker to the back side it gave me just enough clearance for the grills.

Nice expensive speakers hidden behind the stock grill!

And here is the new headunit! Love the bluetooth features. Can listen to Pandora or my Music on my phone through it. Can also take call and the caller will come through my speakers. Came with a mic that I installed in the cabin on the driver A-Pillar.

Somethings have happened in the last month or so.

For good measure I removed the front seats to more easily install my new Escort Dome light! I also wanted to remove the trim piece around the ebrake and test fit pieces of the Escort Center Console. Was a good opportunity to vacuum real good again too.

Here's the Escort light installed and working. Also installed the door jam sensor on the passenger side so both doors turn the light on now.

Here is a pile of parts I got from Freshtiva...including split rear seat. The roof rack was mine. I snagged: Mudflaps, Door jam sensor, Rear Speaker Trim, Split seat, and a Full Escort Center Console.

He also threw in these center caps for free.

Got this sunshade in the mail not long ago.

And here's a couple cool pics I snapped awhile back.
Helicopter taking off in the background at the disc golf course I frequent. There was some event going on in the park that day.

Picking a buddy up from work at one of the only "skyscrapers" in town! I think it's something like 20 stories tall.

This is a great idea, my Pioneer speakers in Rosie just barely hit the grills, if I do what you've done they will clear just fine.

It was kind of a pain to get them in on the back side cause the metal clips kept wanting to fall off the speaker. I had to pinch them tighter before putting them on the speaker so they didn't slide off as easy. Then there was the trouble of getting them back there. The drivers side had to be maneuvered through the hole as there is stuff blocking you from just sliding it in from the underneath.

Thanks...it's slow and steady. I don't really wanna keep throwing money at it so I'm just doing what I can to make it better as I'm driving it daily.
