  • Daniel's TruckStiva Build Thread (56k warning)

Okay so I know I'm starting this a little late lol but better late then never I guess. Started out with a 1992 blue ford festiva. I like to be different so, I choped it up and made a mini truck out of it. Its been alot of work and seems like its never going to end but I'm getting closer. I dont have the before pics but I'm sure you all know what a festiva looks like. were going to skip all the technical stuff how it was cut etc etc. ... as it sits right now the interior has been gutted completle dynamat has been installed, the doors have been converted to gull wing, its been lowered and 15inch rims... the full run down.
aspire swapped, all new bearings, seals, rotors, drums, pads, shoes, calipers, wheel cyl's., brake lines. The front brakes are aspire auto rotors with egt calipers, aspire brake booster, and protege master cyl. The suspension is aspire kyb's with the perches cut off and sleeve spacers welded on, coilovers, with 150r spring rate and 250f I believe lowered 1.5 inch. All new strut mounts, Tie rods Inner and Outer aspire brand new, with brand new aspire LCA's, the rims are 15x 4x100 by +40 offset. Running with fierce 195/55/15 tires. FMS euro complete body kit, custom cut sun roof, fenders rolled. "bed" is herc lined with subaru bratt seats welded in. All the door handles are shaved with door pop's installed. battery has been relocated into the passenger rear fender. As of today Ive got about 14 days untill I ship out to fort sill for AIT for 6 weeks so everyday I work on it and get a little done. My goal is to get all the body ready for paint before I leave. Today I am working on the firewall and the heater box.

At one point it was my festiva that is now his truck. I gave it to him years ago because I thought festivas were the gayest thing ever untill I owned and drove one. After that moment I have been in love ever since!

okay, so today I got the heater box cut and fiberglassed, and the firewall cut, a box made and welded in, then fiberglassed/sanded. ill get updated pics tomorrow most of my time today went into the sideskirt build. Tomorrows plan is to put the sideskirts on and spread a little mud on the fenders, and finish the firewall. (Today while welding I cought the interior juke carpet on fire and had to run across the yard and get the water hose to put it out with, I lost my speedo cable sadly in the fire)
