  • Went to the track tonight!!

And the humidity got the better of me, i had no traction at all the entire night, no matter what i did i could not get below a 2.3 60' time, but i still ran a 14.14@99.97mph which is slightly better then the 14.20 i ran in the fall

I have the video of that run uploading to youtube right now, i got beat by a 12 sec Caddy CTS-V lol

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Oh i know, my goal was at least a 13.9, i was hoping that later in the night the humidity would go down a bit so i could get a bit of traction to hit my goal, but no go, it just stayed humid as hell all night

My suspension is pretty good already, my festiva has ran low 13's when Fred had it, i'll just have to try again in a couple weeks

Here's the timeslip, sorry for the fuzzy pic though.... my video didn't finish loading last night so i'm re-uploading it, whenever its done i'll get it posted

I also have to add, there was several times coming back from a run, i'd have some guy flag me over to ask "what the hell do you have in that thing?" a few guys asked "is that really a KL-ZE in that thing?" "Can we see under the hood?" and almost everytime coming back from a run, someone said something cool to me about it, it was really cool to get that much attention

Some of the kills from last night were a Mazdaspeed 3, 05'ish mustang gt, fox body mustang, couple honda's, my buddy came down with his SHO and didn't stand a chance

Hey, speaking of traction issues, don't feel bad because the CTS-V has a better factory/stock 1/4 mile time than the vette!

Was this on straight street tires? I would suggest going with some DR's, My probe went 14.20's at 96 with some 225 BFG Gforce TA Drags, and I was pretty consistant at around 1.95 60'.

Good times none the less! I love seeing the looks on peoples faces when they are like "WTF was that!?!?!" I used to get that all the time, but it's even more impressive when it's a Festy!

                            John

EDIT: you wouldn't need the 225's most likely, but some 205/50/15's would do pretty good.....
