I once drove a 5000 pound luxobarge Buick with no PS belt. For 3 months.

Best upper body workout a guy could ask for.
edit: the steering wheel was smaller than stock too.

I had ac but not ps, but I never felt I wanted it until I installed one of those tiny grant wheels and was trying to turn from a dead stop.

I'm glad I don't have ps. if I ever get another car I'll never get one with ps... I like to be able to cut the car off and coast.... take it from 5th gear to neutral and coast going down hill w/ manual steering is a breeze but w/ ps it makes it lock up esentially and I just can't stand it. all the ps vehicles I've ever driven were owned by my parents or other people... never did like driving those cars... never liked it with an automatic either.. automatics suck altogether

          power brakes

Coasting with power brakes down a hill is dangerous too. You can't even have the gear slow you down properly without engine power.

I metal laundered my extra ribbed Festiva power steering pulley and had it repainted just in case someone ever needed it.

            Pride power

A lot of Kia Prides had power steering.
If you really want it, go to eBay Germany and type in:

            Pride Servopumpe for the pump.
Pride Lenkgetriebe Servo for the rack.
            Pride Servo for the reservoir.

It is the DA model that is the same as our Festiva.

My talon didnt have power steering but that was because the belt broke... They did offer them with manual steering which is a common upgrade for people with the 1.8
